Looking for Volunteers!

Have we got a deal for you!  7000 awesome books at your disposal!

How can I make this dream come true, you say?  Sign up to be a library volunteer at DLS.  You will have as compatriots and colleagues some of the kindest and gentlest human beings in Dallas-Ft.Worth-I mean the other parent volunteers.  (And you will be right next door to the coffee room.)  But honestly, you can make a big difference at our school by signing up for a two or four hour slot each week to help check out books to students in the Trapp Memorial Library-which, by the way, is central-the library, I mean--to our BAM mission of helping "all of our students learn to be lifelong recreational readers."

If this is "up your alley," please contact Steve Lund, faculty advisor for the library (stevelund@dallaslutheranschool.com) and he will help you find a time slot that is convenient for you.  We provide any and all training that you will need to be a ‘primo'  library volunteer.   (And, yes, you can check out books you like!)

AP US History News

Summer Reading -   The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.  Please purchase the Barrons AP study guide for US History and start working through it.  This will be checked the first week of school to see that you have done these things.
